Each half consists of 81 games per player.
Standings reset after the first half.
Standings
Standings are determined by:
Total wins / winning percentage
Point differential
Standings Tiebreakers
If players are tied in the standings:
Point differential
Head-to-head record
Head-to-head point differential
Playoff qualification is based on a single half only.
Results from the first and second halves are never combined.
If a player qualifies for the playoffs in both halves, they will receive the better seed (1 or 2) and their additional spot will pass to the next highest finisher from either half based on record.
Example:
If the next best non-qualifier finishes 60-21 in the first half and another finishes 59-22 in the second half, the 60-21 record receives the playoff spot.
This process continues until all playoff spots are filled.
Playoff Format
The playoffs include 10 players:
Top 5 from the first half
Top 5 from the second half
The #1 seed from each half receives a bye and automatically advances to the Championship Round.
The remaining playoff players will participate in a draft format:
The next highest seed from each half will alternate selections.
Players will be drafted to form courts for the first playoff round.
The two winning courts advance to the Championship Round.
Championship Round
The Championship Round will follow the same format as regular play:
9 games total
3 games with each partner
The best overall record wins the championship.
Tiebreaker:
Point differential
Playoff Tiebreaker
If teams are tied in advancement:
One sudden-death game
Coin flip determines partners
Makeups / Vacations
Makeup games should be kept to a minimum.
Players are expected to play their own games rather than using substitutes.
If you expect to miss a round or an extended period, notify the commissioner so makeup games can be arranged when possible.
Injuries or Withdrawal
If a player must withdraw due to injury or other circumstances:
A substitute may be brought in to finish the schedule.
If the injured player previously qualified for the playoffs, they remain eligible to return for postseason play.
Extended absences will be handled case-by-case to determine the best solution for the league.
Second Half Adjustments
The season is divided into two halves to allow flexibility for:
Player performance resets
Injuries or extended absences
Potential roster adjustments
The league originally targeted 28 players, but roster size may be adjusted after the first half depending on participation.
The second-half schedule will be different from the first-half schedule.
Once the roster for the second half is finalized (likely late May), the new schedule will be released.
The playoff format will not change.
The postseason will always consist of the top 5 players from each half.
